Sigma Beauty ‘Make Me Up’ brush collection

My Sigma Brushes just came in the mail last week and they are my new BFF’s. I ordered the ‘Make Me Up’ collection in Make Me Blush Coral which includes 12 professional grade brushes, those of which have been said to be an affordable alternative to MAC’s professional brush kits.

The kit comes with:

  • Small Angle – E65
  • Medium Angled Shading – E70
  • Large Shader – E60
  • Pencil – E30
  • Large Angled Contour – F40
  • Large Powder – F30
  • Duo Fibre – F50
  • Foundation – F60
  • Concealer – F70
  • Tapered Blending – E40
  • Eye Shading – E55
  • Eyeliner – E05

and an additional E-25 traveled sized, which is just the cherry on the top since I wasn’t expecting it. The color online is described as coral, but in the photos from their website it looks really pink to me. After I received it I’ve found it does look really pink in person and that disappoints me. I’m not a huge fan of pink but I suppose I’d rather have pink than blue or purple.

Other than that I have no complaints about their quality. After first opening the package I went right to trying them out. I couldn’t wait for an occasion to use them I was too excited. I noticed when using these brushes that they help minimize fallout much better than my previous brushes and blend my shadows with less effort. The pink travel case is what makes these brushes so convenient, and when you’re not traveling you can just keep them in it like a cup.

Oh, and if you were wondering what the gold and black compact mirror was doing in the picture, it’s just for show. I just lost found it, and it’s my favorite. Black and gold are my favorite colors :)

You can buy Sigma Brushes at http://www.sigmabeauty.com/

There are many different brush kits to choose from. I got my brush kit for $99.

Philosophy The Oxygen Peel Review

I bought the Philosophy Oxygen Peel when I went to Nordstrom’s Fall Beauty Trend Show  last October. Philosophy was there doing demonstrations and after I got my first oxy peel, I was ad-dict-ed! I like to mix the product together. Opening the enzyme pill like capsule into water makes an enzyme gel, the solution, when shaken up.  After applying the gel you apply the oxygen foam  and after I keep it on for a few minutes,  when I am scraping the foam off I pretend I’m shaving. It’s all really fun.  The best part is my face is baby smooth, no joke. Nothing but new fresh clean skin. The first time I did it I noticed I had a bit of dead skin caught in my hair-line. Yeah, it’s THAT powerful. It’s the best thing to use right before major events like prom, dates, weddings, celebrations, or anyday when you want your skin to be looking naturally radiant.

You can find Philosophy The Oxygen Peel at Nordstrom, and other beauty specialty stores like Sephora for $50.
